Before planning any activity, please take a moment to review the activity guidelines page on Staff Resources. These guidelines ensure that every event is carried out safely, responsibly, and in alignment with Young Life standards. Reviewing them in advance helps protect participants, supports staff and volunteers, and creates a smooth, well-prepared experience for everyone involved. Some activities, such as repelling, axe throwing, broomball, clay shoots, skiing, and snowboarding, require increased planning and additional precautions. This is not an exhaustive list, please be sure to read the Activities Requiring Increased Planning and ensure you have a signed waiver before moving forward with any of the listed activities.
Please be aware that some activities have been determined too risky for Young Life gatherings or for hosting on Young Life property. Our Banned Activity policy outlines these prohibited activities and they may not be offered under any circumstances.
Your attention to these guidelines and policies helps keep our ministry safe, prepared, and focused on providing excellent experiences for kids and leaders. Thank you for your commitment to safety and excellence!
