The Summer Camp Leader Orientation has been updated and is now open for summer 2026! Camp Leader Orientation gives us a common understanding of:
- Leader-centered camping
- Keeping kids safe
- Sharing the gospel in cabin time and one-on-one
- Diversity, equity, and belonging at camp
- A belonging covenant we all agree to.
And just as in the past, every leader coming to camp this summer (first-time and returning) is required to complete Summer Camp Leader Orientation. As of March 16, any leader or staff registered, or registering, for a nationally-managed summer camp trip will automatically receive an email asking the registrant to log in to their screening dashboard to complete the orientation.
Area staff can also facilitate group trainings, and course completion will be tracked on the camp trip’s Arrival Form tab and in the Volunteer Compliance tab in YL Connect. Learn more.
