Create a New Password

With our need to ensure digital security, we’re asking all staff and volunteers to create a new password to access Young Life’s single-sign on systems. These include Staff Resources, YL Connect mobile, Workday, and YLGO, among others.

This need for a new password will be initiated at 7 a.m. MDT on July 23. After setting your new password, it may take up to 30 minutes for it to become active. Please be patient during this time. Creating additional passwords will result in further delays.

New passwords will need to meet best-practices for passwords, including that it’s at least 12 characters long with at least one number, one capital letter, and one special character (such as #, $, or %). Users cannot use their name.

As you enter a new password, you will need multi-factor authentication, which is a text, call, or approval within the authenticator app to confirm your identity via a one-time passcode.

Your volunteers will also be asked to create new passwords. If they need help finding their username, you can look up usernames by going to YL Connect and navigating to the “Volunteers” tab in any mission unit. Once there, you can search for their Young Life username based on their name. Most commonly, usernames are first initial, last name @younglife.org (John Smith would be jsmith@younglife.org).

Finally, if you are on a Young Life-managed computer, you may find that your old password is needed to access your machine until you are hardwired into the Young Life network or access it via VPN.
